Yao's passion for marketing has been a driving force throughout her career. Commencing her professional journey as a marketer, she had fun navigating different industries, including e-commerce, non-profit, international trade, real estate, investment, and gaming.
Having been a newcomer in the U.S. and Canada, Yao deeply empathizes with the challenges and difficulties faced by others in different stages of life. Her decision to join PeaceGeeks was fuelled by the desire to leverage her marketing expertise to help more people like her in their immigration and integration journey.
Yao’s faves include books, games, anime, pets, nature walks, and spicy food.
Made in China, Yao is the first generation in her family to study abroad. After residing in the US for 8 years as an international student, and then a work visa holder, she now lives in Canada and tries to enjoy everything that it has to offer, including the rainy days that last for months.
