Tammy joined PeaceGeeks as a Board Member in 2017, and as the only lawyer on the Board, she also acts as as our trusty legal advisor. She is a lawyer at Boughton Law, where she provides legal research and writing support across the firm's practice areas. Prior to joining Boughton, Tammy practiced commercial litigation at a national law firm in Vancouver and an international law firm in New York.
Tammy has extensive experience in international human rights law and policy development. She believes in the need to advocate for rights of vulnerable populations through the rule of law and community engagement, and she hopes that she can help PeaceGeeks fulfill its mandate by lending her expertise in private and public law. Tammy holds a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management from Carleton University and a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law.
