Ola Alsukour
UX Research & Design Intern

Ola is conducting user research to explore newcomers' needs, behaviors, and motives to design digital platforms and services that are tailored to various stages of their settlement and job search journey in BC, Canada.

Prior to PeaceGeeks, Ola graduated with a degree in computer engineering and worked in the tech field as a software developer for a few years. As she developed so much passion for UX design, she currently pursuing a second degree in UX design and research at SFU.

As someone who immigrated to Canada 5 years ago, Ola understands the challenges newcomers have during their settlement journey. Peacegeeks represents a unique opportunity to leverage her passion for social impact, UX design, and technology to create impactful and tangible solutions for people she has so much empathy for and give back to the community she came from.
