Kate is responsible for helping with grant applications and donor outreach. Her position varies from building and maintaining donor relationships to helping with fundraising projects. While fundraising is Kate's main priority, she wears many hats, working with all team members and assisting them in varying projects.
Prior to PeaceGeeks, Kate attended Queen's University, graduating this past April with a degree in Global Development Studies. Kate is very happy to have returned home to Vancouver where she spends her free time skiing, cycling, hiking and enjoying the outdoors.
Kate is driven to be a part of PeaceGeeks because of the highly talented individuals she gets to work with. To Kate, the meaningful work that PeaceGeeks does is what inspired her to apply to work for them. Her work as a sponsorship coordinator for the largest student run charity in Canada, Vogue Charity Fashion Show, pushed her to pursue fundraising for her future career. Kate's ability to meet new people and connect with them is what her friends say make this role "perfect" for her.
