Utilizing her experience working in the settlement sector and implementing technology in nonprofit organizations, Jean coordinates PeaceGeeks' community engagement activities, acts as the primary liaison in communication with community stakeholders, and supports the Project Manager and the Development team in implementing project plans on time.
Jean started her career in the nonprofit sector through volunteering for the Refugee Children's Christmas Party, hosted by the Immigrant Services Society of BC. She then joined the skills training team to support immigrants and refugees who attended the Resident Care Attendant and Hospitality Services Programs. With a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a passion for making a difference, Jean excels at bridging communication between domain knowledge leaders and technical expertise throughout her work with the Giving in Action Society and the Vancouver Foundation teams.
In her quest for opportunities that allow her to pursue both her passion in technology and in contributing to social impact, Jean found the perfect combination of "tech4good" in PeaceGeeks.
