Born in Singapore, Kenneth started his career as a corporate banker, advancing through a series of increasingly responsible roles in industry.
An advocate for organizational excellence, he has had leadership roles in a number of public and private sector organizations. His work included:
Business transformations, change management, policy and program development and corporate governance; Restructuring initiatives and infrastructure projects; and Performance measurement and benchmarking frameworks, investment governance and corporate risk management projects.
Kenneth was Director of Strategic Initiatives at the University of Saskatchewan where he led programs to enrich customer experience, reduce operational costs and accelerate revenue growth. As CFO of Transportation Investment Corporation, he oversaw a C$3.3B highway and bridge construction project, one of the largest in BC’s history. As Finance Director of Hong Kong’s Octopus Cards Limited, he oversaw regulatory approval to enable substitution of the ubiquitous contactless smart card for the circulation of small notes and coins in transport and retail payments. On behalf of government, he also performed financial and governance oversight, and established enhanced performance reporting scorecards for BC’s commercial Crown corporations.
