  • Fundraising Team Lead – We are looking for a volunteer with experience and passion in leading private sector fundraising initiatives as well as experience preparing applications for public sector grants. On-going Volunteer Recruitment

Peace Geeks recruits students and working professional with a diverse set of skills, such as film, communications, management, etc. but is particularly focused on recruiting volunteers with relevant skills and experience in the following areas. If you are interested in volunteering with Peace Geeks, please make sure to sign up using the Peace Geeks Registration Form.

  • Web & Applications Developers – Peace Geeks is always looking for volunteers to work on internal Peace Geeks projects as well as to act as lead and support on projects for external organizations. We are particularly interested in recruiting volunteers with experience with Drupal, PHP, Javascript, SQL and jquery, as well as those with broader experience in open source technologies, mobile phone technologies and ICT for development.
  • Graphic Designers - Peace Geeks frequently draws upon graphic design volunteers to contribute to internal Peace Geeks projects and promotional activities, as well as to contribute to external projects for the organizations we support abroad. The types of projects volunteers can expect to work on include logo redesigns, print campaigns, storyboards, publication design, newsletter design, web site design, email marketing campaign, etc.
  • Website coding – We are always looking for volunteers with website development and improvement projects primarily for projects for the organizations we support. Candidate should be experienced with HTML and CSS, as well as other relevant coding tools.

Current Internship Opportunities

Peace Geeks is seeking unpaid interns to work closely with the Executive Director and the Head Marketing Geek. Interns are expected to work a minimum of 16 hours a week both to support organizational administration, and with the following areas.   • Marketing & Communications - Responsibilities include: Developing communications materials to recruit and engage stakeholders, including volunteers, partner organizations, sponsors and project teams; Authoring blog posts for our web site and articles for our volunteer newsletter; Coordinating Peace Geeks' social media and marketing campaign; Draft fundraising campaign communications, assist with grant proposals and explore partnership and sponsorship opportunities.   • Peace Art & Peace Tech Blogger & Coordinator - Responsibilities include: Researching interesting innovative examples of how art and technology are used to promote peace accountability and human rights in different places; Posting relevant articles on this topic on the web site; Authoring original articles about interesting examples; developing a campaign to reach out to relevant faculties to recruit student writers to prepare content for the web site on these topics.
  • Peace Geeks Education & Outreach - Responsibilities include: Planning and coordinating Peace Geeks Events, including movie screenings, speaking engagements, exhibits, corporate engagement presentations, hackathons; Authoring blog posts on relevant issues, with a priority focus on the issues faced by the organization we support around the world
